In 1979 Pre Cut Quilting Kits Weren't Even Around
Not That You Would Want To Use One On This Beautiful Pattern
Laura Nownes took her first quilting class in 1979, way before the idea of pre cut quilting kits was even thought of. With pattern she has created you wouldn't want a pre cut quilting kit anyway. You would want to use your scraps or custom pick the colors to use in this wonderful quilt.
Laura Nownes has provided this free quilting pattern so that you can expand your knowledge of quilting. This is a fun quilt to make and I am sure you will enjoy piecing it together. Laura will be explaining how you can read any pattern, she can't guarantee that the pattern is accurate, but she can explain how you can pick up anything and put it together. Her teleseminar will be exactly like beginner quilting instructions. Everything will be explained for you. You will not want to miss this one! October 21st @ 6PM Pacific Time. Laura has written many quilting books, one of them she wrote while home on maternity leave for her first daughter. This book, "Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!!" was a huge success. It is a perfect book for a beginner providing great beginner quilting instructions. When Laura popped into a quilt shop, Empty Spools, her life was changed. She met the owner Diana McClun and the two of them became fast friends and great partners. You might have heard of the Empty Spools Seminars in Asilomar, CA. Diana McClun and a couple of others put these wonderful seminars together, you can find me there next year! Each session runs for a week. A great place to learn a new skill, meet new people and relax by the Pacific Ocean. If you want to know more

Laura was nominated twice for Teacher of the Year Award by the Professional Quilter Magazine. She is still actively teaching classes and continues to design and create. I would say she found her passion in 1979! If you would like to check out her website,
