Thanks so much for stopping by my Upcoming Events page. This is going to be such a fun place to find all sorts of quilting information. Imagine being able to listen to the quilting experts talk about their journeys into the quilting world. They will be teaching us some of the marvelous things they have learned, explain how to quilt, give us some great beginners quilting instructions and help us to make the learning curve a little shorter. You will meet great new friends and get some cool "quilty" information. You have to promise to push yourself and do something that you never thought in a million years you would be doing. Hopefully, these beginners quilting instructions will give you give the confidence to push through any barriers you might have. I have learned to the never say “never”. Seems like the minute I do, I end up doing exactly what I said that I would “never” do.

Easy Whirling Dervish Kalidescope
When you look at a kaleidoscope block they look so difficult and that is so not the case. The layout of the fabric is what makes it so difficult looking, it really is easy. As each block is completed it looks like a Christmas present. Each block is so different I find it one of the most fun and exciting patterns to work with. This isn't a stack and whack quilt. Let your imagination soar. Pick out a fabric you wouldn't have nerve to use otherwise. You will love the results.

A few students hard at work on their Kaleidoscope Quilt
These students all enjoyed working on their Kaleidoscope quilt. Each of them were so different. We had dragons, orientals and fish. Not one of these quilts came out looking like the others. Everyone was so excited as they finished each block - no two were alike. This is a really fun class that you might consider taking if you are wanting to learn something new and exciting.

Falling Leaves - A Bargello Quilt
This quilt is a lot of fun to make and even though it looks hard, it really is easy to do. You just have to cut your strips all the same size and then it zips together quickly. You quilt as you go so no additional expense of long arm quilting. You have a choice, you can choose the colors that I have prepared or you can choose your own. These colors look like fall to me and they are rich and beautiful, and once finish your Falling Leaves Bargello class you will love the final result. This class will also teach you how to create your own bargello design.
